Grants

Apply for a grant

We help young athletes aged 5 to 18 living in England or Wales, especially those who might not otherwise have the means to pursue their sporting passion.

What we can cover

  • Equipment and kit
  • Membership and subscription fees
  • Tournament and event entry fees
  • Travel to take part in sport

Who can apply

Young people aged 5 to 18 in England or Wales who, without support, could not realistically take part in their chosen sport. We prioritise those who are less privileged.

Parents, carers, coaches, teachers and support workers can apply on their behalf.

What happens next

You get a reference straight away, and we check your application is complete. Our volunteer trustees then consider it, usually within a few weeks.

We email you whenever there is an update, and you can follow progress, upload documents and message us from your account.

Trying a sport for the first time? We may buy equipment and lend it to you. If you carry on, you can usually keep it; if not, it can help another young person get started.

How to apply

Apply from your account

Create a free account with your email address, then fill in the form. It saves as you go, so you can stop and come back, and your details are remembered for next time.

  • About 15 minutes, and it saves as you go
  • Check your answers before you send them
  • Follow your application, answer questions and message our trustees
  • Parents, carers, coaches, teachers and support workers can apply for a young person

Useful to have ready

  • The young person's date of birth and address
  • Their club or team, and a coach's name and email if you have one
  • What you need and roughly what each thing costs, with links if you have them
  • A quote or invoice for anything over £100, if you can (a photo is fine)
